The photos are great Shelley! I do like to see photo’s of authors that I read. My favorite one is the one where you are sitting in a chair and look like you are laughing – you are wearing a black and gold long dress.

Maria – that was one of my formal shots. My husband and I had one taken together as well (he was in his suit) and we gave it to his mother as a gift.

I’d rather not see an author photo. Not that it will stop me from buying the book, but I kinda prefer the mystery of the author.
Maybe that’s impossible in this day and age, but I like that sense of ambiguity.
Maria – the lack of an author photo would never stop me purchasing a book but I always check them out. Mostly authors never look how I imagine them.
I like some of the mysterious author shots were you get a shadowed face or a back view too. They always make me smile.
Those are great shots because you look so happy and relaxed.
I kinda dig seeing author photos. It’s nice to be reminded that authors are real people, not mysterious figures in ivory towers.

I don’t mind author photos. If it’s on a book it should be a pro shot though and not from a web cam. LOL It doesn’t affect whether I’ll buy a book or not though.
