The Chef’s Table

Thursday Thirteen

During our recent cruise we were lucky enough to dine at the Chef’s Table. My husband has always wanted to attend a chef’s table and was really excited when we were able to book our places.

Our dining experience started when we met the rest of the guests and donned white coats for our trip the ship’s galley. After washing our hands (they take hygiene very seriously) we were introduced to the Head chef and given glasses of French Champagne, which went nicely with our canapés.

After a quick galley visit we were escorted to our dining table and enjoyed lots of delicious food and wine.

#’s 3,4,5, 6 and all of your delights I would have enjoyed. yes, I attend a chef’s table aboard our Princess Cruise in 2011. It was very elegant experience. We also got a group pic with the chef.

We had a photo with the chef too. It was a fun experience, and I’m glad we did it. Ours was also with Princess.

Those Scallops look BEAUTIFUL! How do you remember all that!!!! LOL! What a great experience.

    • Shelley Munro

They gave us a copy of the menu. Good job too since I wouldn’t have remembered all the dishes.

  3. Mary Kirkland

Looks like they had quite the spread for you all. Looks like you had a lot of fun. I’ve never been to the chef’s table but it looks like fun.

    • Shelley Munro

The food was beautiful and they really treated us like kings.

    • Shelley Munro

It was as delicious as it sounds.

  4. Colleen@LooseLeafNotes

Gourmet! I’m more interested in eating it than watching it be prepared, but that would be fun too.

    • Shelley Munro

We didn’t actually see the preparation but I can vouch for the yumminess of the food.

That double impact surf and turf has got me drooling. And what a pretty plate. I mean the food on it.

    • Shelley Munro

It was a pretty plate of food – almost too delicious to eat. Almost.

  7. Heather

Wow, that’s a lot of food. I would definitely need to save room for dessert. My T13

      As I said, I needed a walk afterward :)

  8. Nas

Wow! Sounds like you are having a lovely time! Jealous!

    Enjoy!

    • Shelley Munro

Unfortunately, we’re back home now and back to normal. Doing the cooking and cleaning yourself isn’t nearly as much fun.

  9. Stephanie Sullivan

I’ve never been on a cruise, so I’ve never eaten at a Chef’s table, but all of that food looks delicious. Can I go with you next time? :)
