The other day Mr Munro found a dog toy in the cupboard, one we’d purchased and saved for later. Bella was very excited since she is definitely still a puppy at heart.
This is what the toy looked like after about five minutes.
This is what our floor looked like after a few minutes of playing. Exhibit A.
She had a lot of fun playing with her toy, and over the course of several days I picked up lots of stuffing. It was a magical toy, and the stuffing went forth and multiplied! Trying to separate Bella from her toy—not gonna happen!
After playing all day Bella was exhausted. She retired to her bean bag for a nap.
She looks so cute when she’s asleep. No one would ever guess how naughty she can be during her waking hours.
What mischievous antics do your pets or children get up to during the day?
The state of that toy looks so familiar. Mine also fight the stuffing right out of a new toy. Now, I buy some toys that are stuffed with a plastic bottle instead of the regular stuffing. The bottle makes a crackle sound inside the toy when chewed on. Bella is so sweet!
Brinda,
I haven’t heard of bottle stuffed toys. Bella is a destructive wee thing. She loves to rip apart cardboard boxes and old socks. I figure it’s exercise for me picking it all up!
I’m so glad you posted a recent picture of Bella!
You know my Iko is a dog of legend when it comes to destroying things. Although he’s reformed, his bed occasionally gets the stuffing ripped out when he’s feeling anxious or has delusions of being unloved. I shudder to think if we bought him a bean bag bed.
I used to give my guys stuffed toys, but I got tired of picking up stuffing, so now they’re given KONG toys. Extra tough rubber toys.
Allegedly indestructible. But not entirely true–at least not for rotties.
Maria,
I did hesitate about the bean bag because I thought she’d chew it up, but she loves it. We’ve moved to tough rubber toys too. They’re strewn around her bean bag as I write this.
I guess that’s incentive to keep Iko entertained!
Ohh she is so adorable. I miss having pets in my house…When we had one he use to love the squeak toys…
LOL squeakie toys get old fast if you have to listen to them!
So cute! My little ones (kids) can undo a clean room in thirty seconds flat.
Ah, yes! I imagine they can :)
Even in the midst of destruction, Bella looks so adorable :-)
The cute factor saves her from more scoldings.
Mealtimes at our house are generally when most “misbehaving” occurs. Two housecoats and one Chihuahua jockeying for the best “begging” position can get pretty cute, especially since my Tom and Tabby hate each other!
Evenings are the best, sitting in my recliner reading or cross-stitching while the Chi is on the footrest snoozing and the Tomcat is on the top “draped” above me hitting me in the head with his tail.
Like Bella, my pets are my babies and give our family lots of laughter at some of their antics and lots of furry kisses too!
Your comment made me smile. There’s nothing better than a happy tail wagging pet to greet you after a horrid day at work.
That is so funny. She looks like such a sweet angel when she’s sleeping, but then kids and pets have that in common.
I’ve been giving my little rat brodie his antibiotics in a little bit of pudding each day. The other day he decided to smack his entire paw down in the spoon full of Blueberry pudding. I figured no big deal, he’ll clean his paw off when he’s done.
But instead he climbed over his big brother Hades, leaving blueberry pudding paw prints all over his back. Not to worry though because Ares came over and gave him a bath, licking all the pudding off him and then went over to sniff Brodies mouth for more. lol
Aww! How cute. Your rats sound like real characters.
Such a “ruff” life! ;-)
