5. Ideas come from space. ~ Thomas Edison

6. There are some ideas so wrong that only a very intelligent person could believe in them. ~ George Orwell

8. I can’t understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I’m frightened of the old ones. ~ John Cage

9. Don’t worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you’ll have to ram them down people’s throats. ~ Howard Aiken

10. An idea that is not dangerous is unworthy of being called an idea at all. ~ Oscar Wilde

11. It is not once nor twice but times without number that the same ideas make their appearance in the world. ~ Aristotle

  1. Your pictures on this blog are so delightful. I find ideas fly in when I am so relaxed and happy only

  2. I get mine in the shower too!
    I love these quotes.

  3. I became interested in the word idea and how it relates to ideal. I get mine (hopefully) whenever and where ever I have some time alone to think.

  4. I wish I could predict where/when my best ideas would come – then I could do whatever it is more often! Alas, that’s not the case for me. :(

  5. Great list! I get my best ideas while driving. I take care of my mom once a week and it’s a 45 min drive one way. I think I’ll start carrying a recorder with me. LOL Be sure to check out my TT today and enter 2 contests! http://maryquast.blogspot.com/

  6. Great quotes, Shelley. I always liked what Agatha Christie said about planning books while doing the dishes. Walking or cleaning helps clear the mind and allows ideas to flow more freely.

  7. Ideas are easy. It’s execution that’s hard.

  8. Apparently I need to shave more.

Any mindless chore helps the old noggin. Weeding, raking, washing dishes–driving too, but that can be dangerous in traffic. I have to shoo away ideas until I get on the back roads.

  9. I get my best ideas while in the shower, immediately upon waking, or when walking in the woods. And when I am folding clothes, for some reason.

  10. Polishing shoes … hmmm … that’s a new one. Maybe I should try that because my idea bank is totally bankrupt right now and I could use the help. :)

  11. Oscar Wilde’s idea of an idea sounds exciting.
