Hubby and I fly out to Western Samoa on Friday. Hubby is packed. Even his golf clubs are packed and ready to travel. I haven’t started. Whenever my husband makes a comment, I tell him I can’t pack until Scotty goes to the kennels. She doesn’t like a change in her routine. Where hubby is concerned, that’s my excuse, and I’m sticking to it.
The truth is I don’t like packing. I always put it off until the last minute.
Which camp do you belong in—the organized packer or the last minute panic packer?
Hope you have a wonderful time.
Have a great vacation-and don’t worry about packing. If you forget to pack something it gives you a good excuse to go shopping, right?
Have a great holiday, Shelley, see you when you get back!!
As for packing, I have to pack hubby’s stuff as well, otherwise he’d go in just the things he was wearing!!!
Hello Shelley,
Have a great holiday. As for me, I’m an organizer. My hubby calls me anal because I don’t like stuff out of place. I just say I have a little touch of OCD. LOL Have a great day.
Have lots of fun.
Can I say a last minute organized packer. I make lists. :)
Have fun! And I’m a last minute packer because I hate it with a passion. I make it worse on myself then it really is. LOL
Um… a little of each? I try to start earlier and create piles of stuff based on lists (either mental or written), but usually also need to do a bout of last-minute cramming at the end. It’s not a great thing, but the trips are always memorable! Hope you have an incredible time! Don’t forget some fun reading for the plane ;)
I’m definitely a last minute panic packer and my hubby packs for me. He’s in the Navy and they teach sailors how to pack!
Have a wonderful time, Shelley.
I’m VERY organized. My hubby is the last minute kind of packer. :)
I’m going away in two weeks, and although I wouldn’t say that i’m “packed” already, I have set aside almost everything that I will need in terms of clothes, shoes, towels, etc.
The last minute stuff like toiletries and snacks, books — is all on a list.
I’m an organized packer. I pack days in advance because I’m always afraid I’ll forget something.
Thanks, Sandra.
Cheryl – that’s my theory too. I think I’ve done pretty well. I am now officially packed.
Christina – I’m glad I don’t have to pack hubbie’s stuff as well. I have enough problems doing mine.
Roberta – I remember you mentioning that on a previous post. You’ll be pleased to know that I’m packed now.
Amy – my list was inside my head. I’ve been super busy doing edits this week, so I’m lucky I’ve had enough thoughts to make a list!!
Karen – you sound like me. Packing is not my favorite thing.
Fedora – I have my book situation all under control. First thing I did!
Mel – thanks! Your husband sounds like a handy person to have around.
Jennifer – You sound so cheerful about it.
JK – have a great holiday. I’m almost done now. Just a last few minute toiletries.
Jane – hubby remembered the passports. I think we’re set.
I guess I’m semi-organized… LOL!
I make a list after considering what I’ll need when I get wherever I’m going (usually to the US, so if I don’t pack it, I’ll be able to find it, easily). I pack a suitcase in a suitcase and fill it, then pack my single carry-on bag. Then I’m off!
to pack another little bag to see if I can fit it in the carry-on if the airline won’t let me have two bags, of course…
Have a good trip! Tell us allllll about it when you get back! ;)
Thanks, Ms. Menozzi. I don’t think it’s such a big deal these days to leave something behind. It’s easier to stock up while you’re on holiday than it used to be.
I start out being organized and on the final day I change my mind multiple times so that I wished I hadn’t started packing in the first place.
