Thirteen Favorite Scents

Scents are so evocative. They bring back good times, bad times, memories of childhood. Here are some of my favorites—the good memory kind.

Thirteen of My Favorite Scents

1. Popcorn

2. Fresh peaches

3. Mulled wine

4. Peppermint

5. Mown Grass

6. Warm bread

7. Cinnamon

8. Sweet peas (the flower)

9. Gingerbread

10. Tomatoes on the vine

11. Hay

12. Peppermint

13. Coconut oil

Do you like any of these or do you have another scent to add to my list?

  1. Oh, cinnamon always reminds me of Christmas… love that spice.

  2. Me too. Cinnamon, nutmeg and similar scents are an immediate hit of Christmas.

  3. You like peppermint that much? ;)

  4. Yes, I do, smartass ;)

  5. I love the smell of babies, the sun on my skin and sea air!

  6. Ooh, sea air. That’s a good one. The scent of fish and chips always spins off sea air for me.

  7. My favorites are…
    Cotton Candy
    Gum Balls
my rats- *they smell like warm corn tortillas*

  8. Honeysuckle is a good one. Warm tortillas for rats, huh? I’ll have to check that one out.

  9. I’m with you on all but the coconut oil. That is not a favorite!

  10. LOL – Coconut oil always reminds me of the islands and tropical winds.

  11. Strawberry & Lemons

  12. Love the scent of fresh strawberries, Eva. Hubby has planted our strawberries and I’m waiting impatiently for the warmer weather.

  13. I’d leave out the tomatoes and insert freshly cut apple (or hot apple pie). And I love the smell of strawberries, sealing wax, mock orange and old bookshops.
