I’m stepping back in time today with a photo of me taken in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic. Several local ladies visited our camp and offered to braid hair. I kept mine in for about three weeks. When I’d had enough of braids and unfastened them, I had the hair style from hell. The worst hair day ever!
Today I’m visiting Keira Kohl with Julia Maxwell, the heroine of Past Regrets. There’s also a giveaway.
Have you ever had your hair done in braids?
I love that picture, you look so happy.
I’ve never had my hair in those types of brains but when I was a teenager I used to braid my hair into about 20 small braids and sleep in it and take them out the next day so I would have wavy hair.
I used to do that too, Mary. When I was a kid my mother used to do my hair in ringlets. They were a pain!
So cute! You’re adorable!
I don’t have the hair for braids. :(
Thanks, Maria. I think the braid faze was the only time my hair didn’t have a mind of its own.
I’ve always wanted to get my hair done that way, but now my hair is too short for braids. After 3 weeks, your hair must’ve been so frizzy! hehehehe
Frizzy isn’t the word for it! My hair is too short for braids these days. I was traveling through Africa at the time and hadn’t seen a hairdresser for months!
