I’m about to start plotting a new book and my mind is spinning with ideas. Ideas are the inspiration for my 13 this week.

I became interested in the word idea and how it relates to ideal. I get mine (hopefully) whenever and where ever I have some time alone to think.
I wish I could predict where/when my best ideas would come – then I could do whatever it is more often! Alas, that’s not the case for me. :(

Great quotes, Shelley. I always liked what Agatha Christie said about planning books while doing the dishes. Walking or cleaning helps clear the mind and allows ideas to flow more freely.

Any mindless chore helps the old noggin. Weeding, raking, washing dishes–driving too, but that can be dangerous in traffic. I have to shoo away ideas until I get on the back roads.
I get my best ideas while in the shower, immediately upon waking, or when walking in the woods. And when I am folding clothes, for some reason.
Polishing shoes … hmmm … that’s a new one. Maybe I should try that because my idea bank is totally bankrupt right now and I could use the help. :)
