This photo was taken at the Goat Island Marine Reserve in New Zealand. The water is clear and the area pristine and full of fish. I took this photo of blue mau-mau from the rocks. People snorkle and dive here, but as you can see it’s easy to see fish without getting wet. You can also paddle at the water’s edge and huge fish swim around your legs.

Hi Shelley :)
Thank you for sharing the beautiful picture.
Love to you & yours,
Hi Rob – Goat Island Marine reserve is a wonderful place. It’s brilliant for kids both big and small. I certainly enjoyed it.
Looks likea great place for snorkeling. My hubby would love it there. Thanks for sharing the Blue-mau-mau.
I’d love to go there! The fish look beautiful.
Amazes me the color of the fish it’s blue!! Awesome thanks for sharing!
Hello. The water looks so inviting. Valerie
Eileen – it’s great for people of all ages, even if you can’t dive or snorkle because the fish swim in the shallow water. You can swim or paddle with them. My photo was taken from the rocks looking down.
Kim – the color amazed me too. I’d never seen them before, although they’re native to our region.
Wow, that’s beautiful!
That’s such a great picture–makes me wish I was there! Thanks for sharing!
What beautiful blue fish. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a blue fish.
Gorgeous picture Shelley
I loved all of the pictures, but especially the one of the blue fish. I had never heard of them. The mountains were pretty, also. Thanks so much for sharing. Any more pictures?
