We took these photos at the Everglades. The vultures were hanging around on the footpath and gave me the creeps. They’re ugly and were a bit smelly. I preferred the alligators.

I actually would! Vultures are smart and learn your routine, if you go for a walk at the same time every day, they’ll check in on you — and get upset when you’re not there when you should be.
I don’t think I’d want one for a pet but I wouldn’t mind seeing them in the wild. I like birds just fine, but big birds make a big mess. lol
It’s great seeing them in the wild.

I didn’t know that, Susan. These ones seemed quite friendly, but we didn’t get too close!
I don’t know much bout vultures. I think they are carrion birds, right? The ones that fly about looking line a sign of death when it’s eminent?
I’d have a vulture in my backyard any time…if the alternative was an alligator!
Would I like a vulture for a pet? Um…no thanks. I’d rather have a hawk or a falcon.
